PCBC invited the industry to step inside to experience the
future of the homebuilding industry
PCBC 2019 drew the homebuilding industry’s most influential builders creating rich intersections of capital in the Western United States – human, intellectual and financial – built on previous year’s success through its expert-led education, exclusive networking opportunities, and its curated exhibit floor experiences and unique key buyer programs.
PCBC attendees had access to in-depth presentations and education led by thought leaders across multiple facets of the industry and a range of business sectors to lend inspiration and creative thinking to the homebuilding profession. Education, the flagship of PCBC, provided attendees with tangible learnings that can be immediately applied to their businesses and careers. Keynote speakers, Allison Levine and Sekou Andrews, delivered impactful speeches that inspired, re-energized and empowered the entire cross-section of the housing community.
The show floor allowed the industry to experience more than 300 top manufacturers and suppliers showcasing innovative new products, design ideas, green building solutions and technology enhancements. Exhibitors brought to life significant evolving trends shaping the industry including: connected home technology making homes more valuable and personal; virtual technology allowing houses to be viewed across the world or before they are even built with new AR, VR, and live streaming technology; responsible home building, highlighting energy saving initiatives, greater family flexibility and ADA compliance; home automation—sensors and AI technology used in homes to understand the environment and run themselves autonomously; and mobile technology which is allowing all members of the homebuilding team to communicate electronically and constantly via software packages and SaaS solutions.
“We often feel as though PCBC is like coming home for a family celebration—the hugs, handshakes and laughter that happens on the show floor remind me of what I love most about this community—it’s the deep connections, the talent, the collaboration and the inspiration,” commented Linda Baysari, PCBC Vice President, Meetings & Conventions. “The palpable warmth extended from this community ensures that everyone from the senior executives and industry thought leaders to the apprentices and up-and-comers are welcomed and benefit from the inspiration, education and discovery of trends and innovations that this event delivers. PCBC 2019 gave the industry a glimpse into the future of homebuilding, and it’s exciting.”
The California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame Gala, hosted at PCBC, recognized a selection of individuals whose professional achievements have enhanced construction and development in California.
